The City of Alpharetta and the American Legion Post 201 held the 61st Annual Old Soldiers Day Parade in downtown Alpharetta. The parade featured marching bands, military units, floats, clowns, classic cars, and candy. Richard and Judy Burke, whose granddaughter died after suffering an accidental bathtub scalding while in their care, reconciled themselves with the child's death, their relationship with the child's mother (their daughter) and went on to to raise $4 million for the Shriners in gratitude for all they did trying to save the child.
