100123 - Dunwoody - Distraught family members leave the scene after a fire fighter spoke to them. Shortly thereafter, the victim's body was removed. Dekalb fire investigators were still at the scene of a fatal house fire late Sunday morning. About 6:40 a.m., a resident on Manhasset Farm Court reported seeing the fire through the woods. When firefighters arrived at the house, "it was nearly fully involved," DeKalb County Fire Capt. Eric Jackson said. The house was burned to the ground. Relatives told firefighters an elderly woman lived in the ranch-style house on Houghton Court, according to Jackson, but he could not confirm the victim's identity.
